A magnificent day in Bath!

May 19th  was a great and wondrous day. For two reasons: (1) We went to Bath. (2) It was my 15th birthday. Bath was a beautiful city. You could feel the vibration of history coursing through the walls. We went to the Fashion Museum first and then Jane Austen Centre. My friend (Gypsy) and I are both interested in fashion through the ages. It's amazing how much you can find out about times by looking at fashion. At the Fashion Museum they let us try on Victorian outfits. Also at the Jane Austen Centre we got to try on Regency outfits. After, for my birthday we went to the Jane Austen tea room. We got cream tea! Oh cream tea how I will miss you when I get back to the states, the way the clotted cream goes so well with the lovely scone.
We took a pleasant stroll through the Roman baths. You could imagine all the people through the years coming to the warm baths. It's amazing how long it's been here and how many people have seen the same things we are seeing today.
On the way back from Bath we stopped in Wells so I have a few pictures of the beautiful cathedral. The cathedral that we see today was built in 1175. Also part of the cathedral was used in the Harry Potter movies!

  1. Wonderful. Amazing to see the Roman Baths and Stonehenge isn't it. Traversing centuries as you go miles. Cant wait to here more when you come home.
